Instead of drinking pop, tea etc I need ideas of something to drink to help me get going in the morning

    What is it about pop or tea that you want to avoid?

    If it's caffeine, you could try decaf versions. They obviously won't get you going in the same way as caffeine, but you might still enjoy a nice morning drink.

    If you're drinking sugary soda or adding lots of sugar to your tea and you want to cut those calories, try diet soda, adding less sugar, or using some of the various zero calorie sweeteners. But again, if the sugar is what's giving you your morning rush, this won't help.

    If you don't currently eat much in the morning, you might try eating a bigger breakfast and seeing if that gives you more energy. This is really personal preference--some people like to eat in the morning and some don't--so experiment and see what works for you.

    Also, some people find that a morning workout energizes them for the rest of the day and others say it makes them tired. If you work out, you might experiment with different workout times if your schedule allows.
