Hey guys,
I got really unbelievably sick the other day and I haven't been to eat anything and keep it down. During the last 2 days i have puked out about 6 pounds of stuff and the scale is scaring me. It says i lost like 6-8 pounds...Today i was planning on going to the doctor but i have seen dramatic improvement in my health. I am able to eat now but the weight isn't going back up. I have been drinking plenty of water. Should I worry?
my next question is "should I be tracking my food intake" these days when i am to sick to eat. Furthermore, how many days should i not track? I don't want to get lazy or out of my groove. A lot of people on my friends list just say to ignore it and take one day at a time. But what do you guys do when you are sick?

I would track, and write down in the 'note' area a reminder that those were 'sick days'. If you do that, you keep your habit of logging, logging, logging!
As far as the weight loss on the scale. Well, if you had gastroenteritis with fluids coming out of both ends, yea, you will be considerably lighter after a few days... But that's not 'fat loss', it's water.
Eat some white rice for putting your stomach and intestines back in place, drink chicken broth for sodium, drink gatorate for electrolytes and hydratation, and little by little get back into your normal meal plan.
Hope you feel better soon!0 -
give it a week now you're better and you will have gained that weight back.
you were ill, dont worry about it, just keep rested till you are 100%.
if you are starting to eat i would start tracking again, even if you're not eating your normal amount0 -
I agree with above. Give it some time, you are recovering. You'll be seeing a difference in a few days when you're able to eat normal again.0

I didn't bother logging last time, when I got a stomach bug for 3 days. I lost 3 lbs and didn't really gain them back (well, I gained 2 back, but I always regain some water weight at some point). Just don't sweat it, and go back on track when you feel better.0

Clear broth is your friend now and keep drinking water. Give yourself a week or so to heal.0
