Heighest Weight:173lbs
Current weight:153lbs
Goal Weight:130lbs
I have been eating 800 calories per day for the last week but adding up to 200 extra depending on wether or not I exercise and how much
Has anyone ever done this kind of restricting before?
So far, I have been successful but I’m wondering if this will actually work for a month?

Without the medical impetus and supervision, most people cannot handle this for a month. You will likely become either sluggish or euphoric. Much like people on certain drugs, you may think you are doing great, but those around you may notice symptoms such as distraction, short temper, etc.2

This thread is going to get shut down pretty soon. 800 calories is not healthy unless you weigh 700 lbs and Dr. Now wants you to do it for 2 months before surgery.21

I’ve seen friends do that on Ideal Protein. Is it healthy...doubt it. They have to take a bunch of supplements to make up what they’re not getting from their food. Is it sustainable...not for most people. Unless it’s under doctors orders/supervision, I’d never recommend it or do it.1

It will affect you in not-good ways. There is no benefit to starving your body of the fuel it NEEDS and that's what you're doing.
It will catch up to you in the form of dry skin, brittle nails, loss of hair, irritability, fatigue, muscle loss, weakness, depression, etc.
Those are just the damages you will see on the outside.11 -
You are sadly setting yourself up for failure by eating so little, it will impact your health as you are not getting the nutrition you need. It is not sustainable and you will very likely fall off that particular wagon hard.
MFP does not countenance very low calorie diets and you should not eat under 1200 plus at least half your excercise calories.
Please don't do this to yourself.7 -
It's a major health risk. If you're severely obese and under a doctor's close supervision, eating a medically-supervised diet to optimize as much as a person can on so few calories, the risk of the diet may be less than the risk of the obesity.
Otherwise, it's a Really Bad Plan.
So, for you, at 153 heading for 130, it's a Really Bad Plan. (I started MFP at 153 heading for 130, BTW, and reached goal a long time back).
You will lose weight, probably rapidly at first. Your energy level is likely to decline eventually. You may lose hair or weaken fingernails (with those results perhaps not starting to show in the first few weeks). You can develop gallbladder problems. You immune system will suffer. Your nutrition will be inadequate. You'll lose muscle or other lean tissue in addition to fat, and it's hard/slow to rebuild. You're likely to look sallow, haggard, listless, as time goes on.
Don't. Eat a sensible amount, lose weight more gradually, stay strong and healthy.6 -
