WY do I get twice as calories from what my Garmin is writing I work out?
So you have a workout of say 200 calories on Garmin.
You are synced with MFP.
So MFP shows the 200 cal workout.
But MFP also shows a say 200 cal Garmin Adjustment?
The confusion comes if you don't go to your Exercise Diary and only view the brief undetailed eating goal line that may just say Exercise calories - which the workout and the adjustment both fall under.
That extra is the fact you are more active than what you told MFP you were according to Activity Level.
Considering only 4 levels to guess between - no a problem - that's why MFP is attempting to correct itself.
You lose, maintain, or gain weight by eating less, same, or more than you burn.
MFP had an estimate of what you burned daily based on no exercised accounted for and whatever activity level you selected.
Garmin is informing MFP you did workout, and you moved more than you selected.
So MFP is correcting itself to a new daily calorie burn, and therefore your eating goal must adjust too so you are still eating less, same, or more - depending if you are trying to lose, maintain, or gain weight.
So eat your goal.0 -
Thank you for your prompt reply
I still do not understand
For example, this is my day yesterday:
I practiced 3 hours and according to Garmin, I spent 2,024 calories during training.
That's what it says on my MFP in the diary:
1690(GOAL) - 1263(FOOD) +4048 (EXERCISE) = 4475 (REMAINING)
It seems to me that there is a mistake in the application and it gets my training from two sources and therefore doubles my calories

If you are using any other programs mfp and Garmin are both synced to that could be causing the issue, something like Strava?
If not try disconnecting and reconnecting.0 -
I am using garim and strava, what should I do?0

I'd suggest a different route to get full benefit from Garmin as daily activity tracker too, because MFP to Strava does nothing about your extra daily activity that Garmin is seeing.
Garmin linked to Strava and MFP.
That's it.
Strava knows about your data for a ride or run, for further review and see improvements to workouts.
MFP is given the workout too for math.
And the extra activity that occurred during the day, or not, allows MFP to correctly adjust your eating level.
You also need to share more info as guesses are being made to your rather brief incomplete info.
What device?
How do you have them linked?
Have you actually looked at your MFP Exercise Diary? Do it.
Click on prior day, the Garmin Calorie Adjustment I'm guessing is there.
How many workouts were shown too?
Click on details for the Adjustment.
What are the details on that screen?
Does daily burn match the Garmin daily burn?
Got your times and time zones matched correctly between accounts?
Because frankly, even with multiple sync points - Garmin as a Replace only system should have handled it correctly. If anything, the adjustment would go the wrong way.
Only if there was a glitch on Garmin's system that doubled the workout would there be a problem.0
