Runner's crotch! TMI maybe, but surely some of you guys will know what I'm talking about! I've noticed it before but Saturday when I was on my run I felt super embarassed because I was sweating so much in a particular area that it looked like I'd pee'd myself!! :blushing:
So very not cool...any sympathizers or anyone know a remedy? I can't help but think of Fergie at that concert years ago...

I have no idea what you're talking about with Fergie (I'm not so old that I don't know who she is, just not that incident) but when I run I look like I've been swimming. I don't think most runners even take note of that kind of thing in other people. Just sweat and don't worry!

I run all the time and I agree people don't notice that when you sweat you sweat! Also you can try some body glide that may help!

bah, I'm not going to let it stop me or anything, and honestly I've been running for months so I know it's not a new thing. It's still embarassing tho, lol. And by Fergie I mean how a few years ago the Black Eyed Peas had a concert and she wet herself during their performance.

The difference is that Fergie actually peed herself. So digusting an inexcusable. I really hate her.

Maybe running with a pad will help absorb sweat?

Wearing black or another dark color will show the sweat less. Or maybe see if you can find a comfortable t-shirt fabric skort? Not for fashion of course, but that extra fabric in from may hide the sweat. There are probably specially designed exercise shorts that will wick the moisture away faster, but they may be way more expensive that just finding a comfy skort. :)

Then again, I also agree with other posters - just try not to let it bother you! Y'know, don't sweat it! ;)

Check out Target. I think they have some moisture wicking clothes for a good price. I love their sports bras that are moisture wicking. Try that or just think the more you sweat the more you lose! lol

I wear black shorts, so it's not so noticable. Also I agree with a previous poster about looking for moisture wicking clothes.

You could wear a Poise pad. My running shorts have an inner liner and sweat doesn't seem to show BUT after two kids I do occasionally dribble. :embarassed: The pad helps.

I don't care for the moisture, but worse still is the chafing!
I sweat so much, most of my wardrobe is black just to hide the wetness - especially pants. Wore a blue shirt the other day and while the whole shirt was soaked from sweat, my boobs were dry. Nice image - really!:embarassed:
  • Another vote for good moisture wicking underwear. Under Armour is great stuff and reasonably priced. Also, strategically applied anti-perspirant might help.
