Starting Over....

I started MFP back in 2012 or 13. I had a lot of success. I lost 40lbs. And then I gained it all back. And then I gained an additional 40lbs. *sighs*

I have since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which make exercising difficult and sometimes impossible. Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes. So now losing weight and watching what I eat is essential. If I don't, I will die. My grandfather died from complications of diabetes. My mother has almost died from it.

I am looking for friends and encouragement. I am also really good at listening and encouraging if you need that. So feel free to add me

Girrrrrrl, I feel that so hard. I lost 60 lbs two years ago just after my Dad passed away - it was so awesome. Then I gained it all back. I got some help from my doc, lost 40 again, injured myself in the gym (sprained my foot, naturally...) and gained it all back again. It's so IRRITATING. This time, I'm not doing pills or anything erroneous. I just want to walk / light weights (even though I'm on ox and feel dumb not lifting heavy lol) and eat right.

If I can just. not. cheatday. I know I can make it through.

There is a program called Stronger U that has had amazing results for many without exercise. It taught me an entire new way to look at food, count macros (Fat/Carbs/Protein), learn what I thought was healthy wasn't, portion control and serving size. I cannot recommend it enough. Great private support group with inspirational stories on FB as well and focuses on the MFP app and web page.

    Best of luck
