Exercise calories

Hello! Does anyone know why the exercise calories on MFP changes throughout the day? I did a swim this morning which my Fitbit synced to MFP but it doesn’t then give the same calories as Fitbit does and it changes throughout the day too? This morning it was 488 now it’s 430 but my Fitbit is 699 lol?

    I don't have a fitbit, but as I understand it, fitbit is tracking calories burned throughout the day, including all step - not just your workout. MFP is different. It assumes you daily steps are covered by your activity level setting and only adds additional calories for extra, deliberate exercise on top of your normal activities. MFP will typically show lower than fitbit therefore. It would be worth searching for "fitbit" on the forums, though, since someone else has probably asked this question, and I've never had one so I could be misinterpreting something.
