Welcome! If you're here, then you're already motivated.. so just remember that the whole process is not a race! Weight loss takes times! Small changes that you can integrate into your daily life will help so much more than big changes based on deprivation that you can "tolerate" for a period of time. The latter is what a typical diet is - make yourself miserable by denying yourself certain foods for as long as you can to try to achieve a weight loss goal, and when you your weight loss slows down or you reach a goal, you take your foot of the gas and the weight comes roaring back!
Instead, make those small changes and try to eat more healthy, continue to have food be something you enjoy... and just watch the weight slowly melt away! Obviously if you can try to be active too, that helps!
I started at 400 lbs two years ago (at age 51, by the way), and this morning I think I'm ready to officially claim I've lost 150 lbs, down to 250! And I honestly don't feel like I've been on a diet or have been depriving myself at all!
Good luck and if you want more info or have any questions, feel free to ask, or shoot me a message... happy to answer anything I can!!
Frank
