Hypoglycemia and weight loss - help!

Interesting revelation this morning - my friend/nurse/coworker and I took our respective blood sugars this morning and I seem to be lower than normal people - I had eaten about an hour prior and was at 62. She took it again about fifteen minutes later and I was at 80. She mentioned possibly being hypoglycemic? I work in the healthcare field with nurses and tend to trust their judgment/assessment. She also mentioned that could be the reason I am not losing weight.

I have had such a struggle with getting the pounds to go lower AT ALL - I do not starve myself (my diary is open but I don't often complete it, so apologies for those trying to browse and get some answers), I work out frequently (6 days/week) with a combo of cardio and weights. So basically I am doing everything I believe I need to be doing to see the numbers on the scale move downward and they do not.

I am going to get some blood work done tomorrow morning since I have an order from my doctor to do so. Just wondering if anyone has had any sort of experience with this, like if you were successful in weight loss once your medical problem was discovered and controlled? Thanks in advance.
