Starting Today...

After starting and stopping for over a year, I decided it's time to stick with it. I was in a good place years ago; I was 5'10 and 197 pounds. I was so excited I was finally close to being a normal weight (I was 400 when I started). Then my mom passed away and triggered the eating again.
I'm currently sitting at 323 pounds and I thought I was okay with it, but I brought my kid to the park today and realized I can't run with him. The little bit that I can, I get out of breath and my heart rate skyrockets (hearts been checked out and its fine... ). I'm just so out of shape and miserable; I'm ready for a change. I want to be able to play with him next summer, I want to not be miserable in my clothes, I don't want to walk in my mom's footsteps (she had congestive heart failure due to poor eating choices, obesity, high blood pressure, and a sedentary life style). I'm 37 and hope I have enough time to turn it around...good luck to everyone else on their journey.

Hi, I’m 5’10” and weigh 270 😖 I had lost 65 lbs last yr but life got in the way and so much stress and laziness that I’m back up in weight again. I also get out of breath running after my 2 yr old granddaughter and tire so easily (I’m 54) so I made the decision to start again, this time though I think I am going to make gradual changes instead of diving right in cuz then I get overwhelmed. Whew ok, well, good luck to you

You've got plenty of time to turn it around, and the best time to start is right now. You got this!
