I too watched sports with my dad. In fact, it looks like we watched the same game and go for the same team. :)

I went bowling. I beat my sons soundly in all three games. I still got it!

I actually sent my dad a message saying happy fathers day....kind of a big enough deal because me and him hate eachother from past traumas. I dont see him as a father so it was pretty special to him im sure :D Maybe next year we will actually hang out...who knows lol

We stayed in this year. Ordered take out and watched movies. It was raining, so we decided to relax. My dad passed away 10 years ago, so we remembered him by lighting a candle.

Cherishing time with my daughter. Missing my dad now gone 19 years..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGDA0Hecw1k

    Every generation
    Blames the one before
    And all of their frustrations
    Come beating on your door

    I know that I'm a prisoner
To all my Father held so dear
    I know that I'm a hostage
To all his hopes and fears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years

    Crumpled bits of paper
    Filled with imperfect thought
    Stilted conversations
    I'm afraid that's all we've got

You say you just don't see it
    He says it's perfect sense
    You just can't get agreement
    In this present tense
We all talk a different language
    Talking in defense

So we open up a quarrel
Between the present and the past
    We only sacrifice the future
    It's the bitterness that lasts

So don't yield to the fortunes
    You sometimes see as fate
It may have a new perspective
    On a different day
And if you don't give up, and don't give in
    You may just be okay

    I wasn't there that morning
    When my Father passed away
I didn't get to tell him
All the things I had to say

I think I caught his spirit
    Later that same year
I'm sure I heard his echo
In my baby's new born tears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Say it loud (say it loud), say it clear (oh say it clear)
You can listen as well as you hear
It's too late (it's too late) when we die (oh when we die)
To admit we don't see eye to eye

Just having to drive about 90 minutes into the middle of rural Kansas to dine, instead of going to one of the many decent chicken restaurants near us.

I'm from southeast Kansas, lots of great chicken places in this corner of the world!

We lost my dad nearly 3 years ago and my mom is struggling with the upkeep on her house, so along with all of my siblings, my children, and some of my nephews, we spent all day Saturday clearing a pasture, putting a new roof on her back porch, and any other tasks that we could fit in. Then Sunday we visited my father-in-law (he lives right next door to us) did some chores around our place and then had a very good supper, grilled ribeye, shrimp kabobs, and corn on the cob--also cooked on the grill. It was a busy but fulfilling father's day weekend!

My family and I went up to our cabin for a few days this Father’s Day, along with my Mom and Dad, sister and brother in law and my nieces. We made homemade games, bbq’ed, tossed water balloons, went 4 wheeling, went swimming, told ghost stories, made home made kites, relaxed on the beach. It was the best time I’ve had with my family in a long time.

I have 3 adult daughters. I do not ask for anything special on statutory Father's Day.

It is enough that they stay out of jail.

This past Sunday, nothing from any of them. Not even jail.

I played laser tag with my 2 younger sons - dads played free and we had a great time with lots of other families.

Later we made grilled pizza, where I learned that my whole family besides me are heathens who like feta on pizza. I'm still shook. Beer helped, though.

Looks like you had fun with dad!! I did early Father's Day for my dad on Wednesday, took him to brunch when I was in town. Spent the day with my husband and we made dinner and went hiking.
