For me it's group fitness classes. Pretty much any Les Mills brand class is great.

Stationary cycling for the calorie burn and ability to multi-task (watch news, use phone, etc.)

    Exercises - squats, Pendlays, deadlift

I also love the Les Mills classes - it gave me a great introduction to weights. Am starting next week with a PT to do some lifting sessions to see if I enjoy that.

I prefer to run, especially long runs and obstacle runs. I'm training for my first half marathon, and I'm loving the challenge and the zen state I get when I find the zone.

My primary exercise is cycling...while I consider it exercise, I don't necessarily consider it a "workout." The exception to that would be if I'm training for an event...but other than that, I just ride for my health and fitness and personal enjoyment.

Spin class, lifting and long hikes with a healthy amount of elevation gain. In winter, snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.

    Lifting. Especially deadlifts.

Closely followed by rock climbing and kayaking.

    It's seasonal.
    1. Currently, gardening.
    2. Shortly, swimming.
    3. Snowshoeing in the winter on old wooden snowshoes - now THAT'S a workout!

Calisthenics and hiking. I used to love lifting but I've really been enjoying building strength with body weight training.

Lifting (shoulder day ftw) and trail running. I have a certain fondness for group classes because they bring out my competitive side and so I push that much harder, but the workouts I can do in sweet solitude are my favorites.

I'm going to be excommunicated for this, but the treadmill. I love not having to think about cars, uneven surfaces, traffic lights, people, weather...etc, and just zoning out to a good show or audiobook.
