How do you post pics?

How do u post pics on here ?

I am also struggling with this. I can post pics as an attachment but can't seem to post pics like everybody else. There's an icon here that looks like a page with the top corner folded. If you click on that, you can attach a file stored on your computer. That's about all I know. I'd love to know how to put photos side by side.
