Depends on the eating plan you're following. When I researched keto, for example, I seem to remember that I wouldn't be able to have it.7

If you like popcorn, and it fits in your nutritional and calorie goals, it's perfect. Keep in mind, for most of us, what we put on the popcorn can be more calorie-laden than the popcorn itself! But even that's fine, as long as it fits in our goals. Enjoy!3

Only if they get stuck in your throat and you suffocate and die?
Really hate those husk thingies.

There is no "harm" in any particular food. Foods are not good or bad. If popcorn fits within your calorie goals, it is good. If it does not, then it is "bad" for you at this moment. But it does not mean it couldn't be good at another time.8

i have popcorn several times per week.
60g + 7g peanut oil in a stove top popper. About 300 calories. Wouldn't change it.2 -

Much better than eating the kernels for a snack without popping them.9 -
No I can have a bag of lightly buttered popcorn for 130 calories!!!!!!

I just learned this...place 2 TBS popcorn kernels in a brown lunch bag. Fold bag over once and place in microwave for 2-3 min or until it stops popping. I season it with popcorn salt and maybe a squirt of “I can’t believe it’s not butter “ spray!2

I don't need to use oil if I pop in a stone coated non stick pan. I'm sure a ceramic coated pan would work too. If you don't want any added fat calories a light sprinkle of soy, tabasco or SE Asian fish sauce works and you use so little that the popcorn doesn't get soggy. Once moistened, other low calorie flavourings such as nutritional yeast, ranch dressing powder, chicken stock powder, dashi powder, or furikake will stick.0

Powdered popcorn salt is a must. Especially when using little or no oil. Regular salt does not stick to microwave and popcorn cooked without oil.1

Popcorn is awesome! You get a lot of snack for a modest amount of calories!0

Popcorn is good for you, it’s the oil used to pop it in, and the butter used to top it that adds calories. You can use an air popper or pop it in the microwave with no oil. The commercial ready to pop microwave popcorn has a lot of things added to it. Just buy kernels and pop it yourself. You control what goes in, and on, it. The sky’s the limit for flavoring, anything you like.1

Popcorn is a great snack for volume eaters.
I like plain popcorn and adding a bit of grated parmesan and garlic powder.1 -
Many don't realize that popcorn is also a whole grain, so you get those added benefits. Pop away, limit the butter, and enjoy!1

Love skinny pop.
28 grams (a lot!) is 150 cals.
I eat it almost daily.1 -
Thank you all!0

Try blue or red popcorn (can buy on Anazon) they have great flavor!1

I *need* to eat a bag almost every day for the fiber 😁 I buy Jolly Time Healthy Pop 100s in kettle corn, 110 cals for 5 cups popped! And 4 g of fiber!0
