Fat Loss

I’m concerned with my fat loss vs. weight loss. I want to lean out so my abs are popping! I eat 1200 calories and do 3 days cardio, 3 days weight training.
Who else is focused on fat loss vs. weight loss?

I hope you're eating your exercise calories back.5

If you are concerned with fat loss, not just weight loss I would suggest a deficit of 250 cals/day (0.5lb/week weight loss goal) The slower you lose the less likely to lose muscle.
Also ensure you get adequate protein, 0.7-0.8 grams per lb of goal weight, and that your strength training program has progressive overloading built in (not just running a program you put together yourself)6 -
I don’t always eat my calories back, but it is a goal.0

@Erickirb Thank you! I’ve been working with a trainer, and my meals are macro tracked.0

Making it a goal doesn't make it a good goal. If you want to concentrate on ONLY losing fat you will eat enough calories so that your body doesn't eat away at your muscles for energy too.

Is there anyone who's not focused on fat loss? I don't think you'll find anyone who's trying to achieve muscle loss1
