Goal's calories calculation

Hi, I'm a new user of the MyFitnessPal application and I have a basic question.
The app calculates my calories' goal for each day based on the information I insert (height, weight, age, etc.) and my target (lose x kg per y time). But is there anywhere to see in the app the total amount of calories burnt by me during the day? Meaning, not only the next calories but also the calculation behind the "goal" that was created by the app for me.

I think you mean your TDEE? Your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) is the total number of calories you burn each day based on your activity level. You can actually use MFP to determine your TDEE by doing the guided setup, but selecting "maintain current weight" rather than any of the weight loss/gain options. To lose weight, eat fewer calories than that number. To gain weight, eat more calories than that number. There are online TDEE calculators too, if you want to use a bunch and take an average. The "goal" MFP created for you is based on the info you entered and the rate at which you want to lose weight (0.5 lbs a week, 1lb a week, etc.). MFP takes your maintenance calorie number (TDEE) and subtracts a certain amount of calories based on the aggressiveness of your weekly weight loss goal. The more aggressive the goal, the more MFP subtracts from your TDEE.

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking for your maintenance calories, correct? The only way that I know of to see what MFP is assuming your maintenance calories are is to set your weight loss goal to "Maintain my Current Weight". Someone else may have a better answer.0
