Anyone else doing Mighty Meals?

So my wife and I are both amateur chefs, and that was a huuuuuge problem as far as our weight goes, because every dinner was a fattening feast and we'd end up eating until all the food was gone. We decided to try a meal service, at least short term, to get our portion sizes and expectations under control - i.e. to learn what a "normal" serving of food looks like (answer: pretty small LOL). I got Mighty Meals, but she went with Freshly because she has Celiac's disease and Freshly is Certified Gluten Free whereas Mighty Meals isn't.

Anyway, I friekin' love the food. I've been eating it for a month and literally can't wait to get to the next meal, which isn't what I expected from a meal delivery service. Today it's a Mediterranean power bowl and lasagna. I'm on 1700 cals/day and 2 Mighty Meals usually adds up to around 1200, which I supplement with fruits, veggies, granola bars, and the occasional piece of chocolate to keep myself sane.

I see that most of the Mighty Meals dishes are already in the database so there must be some customers here!

If it works for you and yours, then YAY! I do most of my own cooking for evening meals and just weigh out the amount that fits into my caloric budget.

Sounds like a great delivery service with some yummy food!

If you ever run into issues with your loss remember that most of these meal services list approximate calories: weighing the occasional bunch of ingredients to verify their claims is never a terrible idea. This even applies to frozen entrees.

Hopefully these meals will inspire your amateur chef into inventing meals that are just as tasty, yet fit better into your caloric budget! Or continue long-term with the meal service of course!

For those that prefer not to or don't know how to cook healthy foods, I'm really happy that you have options like this.
