so, conclusion is - exercise doesn't make you lose weight - only eating less calories does.

Weight loss pills don't really work.

Exercise is good for your health.

Perhaps those of us wanting to lose weight should ditch the gym membership and opt for gentle walking and stick to whatever diet plan works for us.

Men didn't make me thin! I made me thin! :p

Seems like an inaccurate oversimplification to say that only eating less calories causes weight loss. Creating a caloric deficit causes weight loss. Part of that calculation can be exercise.

If you're not really interested in health, performance, or aesthetics, then ditching exercise is a decent option.

I guess the main point was exercise is good, but it isn't a substitute to eat whatever you like afterwards.

And I understand the experiment that people who exercised were too tired after and just wanted to sit around. Maybe it is at that point that they would also eat a lot more (eat back the calories they exercised off and some more).
