This really helped me. It takes 66 days to build a habit so just remember that if you can keep up this modified lifestyle for 66 days you’ll probably be good.

It doesn't have to be hard, make small sustainable changes to your routines and they'll start to stick! Motivation is fleeting, better habits are not.

It’s not that hard, you just need to be realistic and understand that it will probably take a lot more time than you think, there will be setbacks and frustrations (like when the scale doesn’t move or goes UP when you think you are doing everything right) and that you have to change your mindset for the long term. Reading the Success Stories message board is a,ways inspirational.

It took me about 2 weeks in to eliminate previous cravings and be satisfied with the calorie deficit.

Now a month in and I'm down 7.5 inches and 10 pounds. It works. Trust the process.

Curious where you heard the 66 day theory. Thanks for sharing, @rozempire

@LyndaBSS I believe it's from a study by a London Uni I remember seeing an article last year, the short version was that it takes 21 days to form a new habit but an average of 66 days for it to become an automatic behaviour.

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first time and I really need motivation and support for this journey cause I know its gonna be hard!!

As others have said, it's only as hard as you make it.

Picking a suitable calorie deficit = easier
Picking an aggressive calorie deficit = harder

Choosing to eating foods you like = easier
Forcing yourself to eat foods you don't really like = harder

Being flexible and realising that life happens = easier
Being rigid and seeing any deviation as a failure = harder

I'm not saying it doesn't take effort, just that it's up to you to decide if the amount of effort is easy, sustainable and manageable or so onerous and taxing that you're constantly struggling and miserable.

Keep in mind, this isn't penance. It doesn't have to be a punishment.
