I am finding that protein is what helps me not over eat and also helps me avoid powerful sugar cravings at night. I’m thinking some protein shakes might be good for me, so would like some recipes under 300 cals ideally

If you use the recipe I recommended with half a banana you'd be under 300 cals

    .5 banana - 50-60 cals
1 scoop ON chocolate protein - 130 cals
    2 tbsp pbfit - 70 cals
    1 c unsweetened almond milk - 30

That would put you right around 300!

    Mine's similar.

    .5 banana
    1 scoop chocolate protein
1 tbs almond butter (or Pb2)
1 c frozen unsweetened cherries (or blueberries or blackberries)
1/2 c almond milk (or other nondairy), 1/2 c water

    I like:
34g chocolate brownie protein powder (I use clean simple eats at 110 calories)
6g rodelle cocoa powder (a rich baking cocoa)
    8g PBFit peanut butter powder
Blend with either 1 c almond milk or water. Super delicious, the cocoa powder adds only 30 calories and tons of chocolate flavor.

My favourites are spinach, tomatoes, cucumber with mint, pure cocoa (unsweetened), any type of white bean, banana, fat free greek yogurt, vanilla essence, mango, oats, berries, passion fruit, coconut/almond/soyamilk. Generally use those most and make what I fancy. I don't like savoury smoothies so mix and match to cover greens and tomatoes.

When I was eating higher calories...

    Peanut Butter or Walnuts
    Frozen Blueberries or Cherries
Your protein powder (chocolate is what I was using)
    A dash of pure vanilla
    unsweetened almond milk
    half a banana

    Now I do:
65-80g Kale, Chard, Spinach mix, frozen
    half a banana
    1c coconut water
powder (orange, cinnamon, etc for flavor)
anything else (my creatine for example)

What I really wish was that someone told me to not put the whey protein in the blender before I started blending, only after for a couple pulses...
