Water mixers

Does anyone use water mixes (ie MiO, Crystal Light, etc)? I used to MiO all the time, and it says no calorie, but it seemed like I was losing more when I stopped drinking it. Thoughts?

What do you mean it "seems" like? If something is zero calorie, it doesn't keep you from losing weight.
In the US, items that are less than 5 cals per serving can round down to 0. So theoretically if you were consuming 20+ servings a day, and the brand you were using was actually 4 cals, you could consume enough that it throws off your numbers.0 -
I think Mio has artificial sweeteners so perhaps your body responded to the chemical by retaining water for some reason. I have heard that from people who noticed the same thing when they quit drinking diet pop. Just a thought

Water mixers should NOT count towards your daily intake of water. Water is used to cleanse your body of toxins & chemicals (clear water). Packets like MiO have chemicals in them that aren't good for your body, like aspartame or sucralose. If you want a healthy sweetner, stevia or erythritol are safe.

Water with a no-calorie mixer definitely can count toward your water intake for the day. Just like no calorie herbal teas. If someone is experiencing not so great reactions to them, definitely stop. But there are tons of people who don't react negatively to them at all and use them as a portion of our daily water intake every day.
The woman who owns that web site also has no valid nutrition credentials whatsoever, so be careful who's advice you take and pass along. It even says in that article that "technically yes" they count towards your water intake, but she *personally* doesn't think they should.5
