Any energy boosts during fasted workouts?

I workout 5-6 times a week (usually go with how I feel) and I usually like to do fasted workouts. I don’t really like eating before exercising. I drink a cup of coffee for the energy right before working out, but I find myself still somewhat tired.

Any recommendations of a pre-workout that’ll still keep me in a fasted state and give me an energy boost? I do keto so preferably keto-friendly.

I used to fast before working out too, especially running and yoga, but now I try to eat 150 calories an hour before I work out. Timing is everything. If I eat too soon before a workout, I’m sluggish. You could try a prewotkout with caffeine, but don’t drink your coffee too. Size Slim preworkout is sweetened with Stevia and you can get it on Amazon. I add extra water to mine.

i concur with @momjogger. my oatmeal tortilla with spinach runs about 150 and is as low as i can go without feeling like a potato during my workout. i eat it about an hour before working out, that's my personal sweet spot.

I generally train fasted and did today which was a 27 minutes weighted pull-ups and chin-ups workout and then another 1 hour running slightly over 5.5 miles. The running took place during the 20th hour of my fasting period.

I don’t know that there are any “tricks” to offer if you want to remain fasted during your workout.

I think it’s imperative to have been well-fed the previous day and having a good night’s sleep. Being a seasoned fasted workout person also helps. Some people can do it while others are more challenged.

Listen to your body and decide whether non-fasted might be a better choice for you.

    Wishing you the best.

I've got no such tips because I usually just row (my only current form of exercise) for about 30 mins when I get up w/o eating anything after about 12 hrs into my fast.

Then I have 20oz of black coffee b4 eating anything 4-6 hrs later. So, I rely strictly on what I ate the day b4 the fuel my wkout the day after and the caffeine from the coffee post-wkout to provide an energy boost b4 I eat again.
