Week 2: Hard Work

Last Saturday, I weighed 337. This Saturday, I weighed 332. How did that happen? Hard work. Plain and simple. I am blessed to teach a summer school, and do a part time security job. It can be demanding, but I use any free time I have to get fit. I work out at least an hour a day, six days a week. I use any down time in my schedule to stretch, which has made me feel as fresh as on day one. When I’m on patrol at my security job, I will sometimes walk at a leisurely pace for 3 or 4 hours to burn some extra calories. I’m learning that I always had time in my schedule to exercise, but I always used it to “rest” or play on my phone. But the mind is powerful. When it determines to do something within its power, regardless of the circumstances, it will prevail at doing that thing. That is where I’m at. My goal is to lose 100 pounds and get shredded. What does that mean for today? That means staying under my calories and getting some much needed rest for my six days of training starting bright and early tomorrow morning. Life is good.
