Looking for friends who can relate to the challenge healthy choices after 20 years of weight gain.

Twenty four years with a self employed (and self-absorbed) husband, running a busy household with 5 children and a large extended family, caring for our youngest child through 3 liver transplants over 10 years along with some deep personal losses, kept me distracted and sometimes excusing myself from the call to focus on my own health. It's time for no more excuses or procrastination and I could use some friends who can relate to the celebration of a fresh start after age 50.

You can do it. You have already proven yourself a survivor!
I've been over weight since I was teenager (In my 60's now). Finally reached my goal in 2013. Still love MFP, still logging my food and exercise and keeping up with my friends here.
Add me if you would like to be friends.0 -
Amazing strength and resilience...Best wishes on your journey, Loralei!
