My Struggles

i’m having trouble starting this challenge because i literally started my period right when i was gonna start it 😞

still eating healthy, but i have endometriosis which causes chronic pain and it’s not a fun time. working to get the pain down with ibuprofen and tylenol, but sometimes it doesn’t even work. i went out on a walk today, probably gonna do some yoga later and see what else i can do. days 1-4 are usually the worst so hopefully i get a little break after that. 🤞🏼

    Welcome to the community! <3

Life gets in the way. So do periods. Do the best you can. You're going to have one every month.

You might actually be pleasantly surprised by losing weight anyway. The first two or three weeks was when I lost most of my water weight as my body adjusted to a healthier lifestyle.

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

Good luck and I'm sorry about your pain.

I'm writing this with my laptop on my chest as I'm flat out on the bathroom floor to get the heat from the heating cables. The struggle is real.

I get where you're coming from, I have endo too. When my pain was at it's worst I would be too busy throwing up to have food the first day or two. Walking is great, a lot of people feel relief from cramps with exercise. I need IB Profen and a muscle relaxer the first day but am usually still able to work out. If you're having cravings perhaps eat at maintenance for the first couple days. You're going to have to come up with tools to help during this time, such as having food on hand that's quick to make if you're unable to stand for long. Best of luck to you!
