What is the best and quickest way to lose belly fat and keep it off?

Read the links above but the short answer is.
You can't decide where the fat comes off your body. All you can do is eat in a calorie deficit so that you lose fat and hope/wait for it to start to come off the places on your body that you want it to.
To keep it off just requires eating so that you're, on average, consuming calories roughly equivalent to the number of calories that you expend.6 -
For most people belly fat is the first on and the last off. I have to be incredibly lean everywhere else for my belly fat to even budge.1

A bit of belly fat is nice to have when your plane suddenly crashes and you become stranded on a desert isle.7

Joking aside, I sympathise. For me, to lose/reduce the belly fat, it’s been a combination of really cutting back on carbohydrates, especially bread/dough, seriously burning calories through lots of cardio ( in my case, squash mainly, plus the bike), and lots of abdominal/core exercises in the gym, or even at home, plus an increase in the amount of water I drink. Resisting temptation as much as possible and trying to ensure I have a calorie deficit each day.
