Arthritis & Pilates - outcomes?

Anyone with arthritis have experiences with Pilates they'd like to share? What outcomes have you had?

What can be accomplished body composition-wise with Pilates + a high protein diet? I am thinking, probably not much, but maybe with a lower calorie diet, something attractive might result? YES the plan & greater need is to use it for rehab, I'm still thinking about body shape. Whatever.

Would love to hear from people who used to work out regularly and had to do something like Pilates instead. Thanks!
