Why would you choose low fiber? Fiber, especially soluble fiber, is so good for your body's system!

I can't answer for the op but sometimes low fiber is the way to go with digestive issues or as prep for certain tests like colonoscopies.

I have just spent the last week in hospital with a severe diverticulitis attack, after a attack you need to be on a low fibre diet to give your colon time to heal and the surgeon wants me on low fibre diet until I have my colonscopy in 6 weeks.

RodaRose has nailed it. I especially enjoy sourdough white bread when my system is resetting after a colonoscopy. Although I avoided cheese and too much dairy; it was constipating for me.

Yep, me too (not in hospital) but when the symptoms are bad, have to stick to a 'white diet' for a while to give myself a rest. I also suffer from IBS and fibre is shocking for it.

Not for me. I'm on a permanent low fiber diet because of gastroparesis and Crohn's
