I love cheese. I recently realized that I was eating 1200 cals minimum a day in cheese.
On July 8th I decided to only added cheese.
I've lost 4lbs .
I'm pretty happy with this and I'm not even missing the cheese it was more like a habit.

Good for you for making a small change that could make a big difference for you. We'll done.1

As with anything else, moderation is the key. Over eating any food isn't good for you, leads to an unbalanced diet, and might even stall your journey. So good job recognizing this and planning around it!3

Cheese is a real prob i don't even buy it anymore. 1oz=110 calories ☹️3

i don even remember when i prepared some toast with cheese, its pretty killer food in terms of calories for its merits. I would need to eat like 4 toasts to get full. They are to tasty and you crave more. 4x70kcal cheese plus 4x 30g bread. Add some meat to it 20gx4=80gram. / 280kcal plus 300kcal plus 200 kcal from meat, easily about 800 kcal a meal. And ya will not be that satiated after it.1

Yup. Cheese is delicious but it definitely needs to be weighed and tracked — I think it’s actually worse than peanut butter in the sense of “wait, HOW MUCH DID I EAT?!”
My initial weight gain downfall was almost entirely due to cheese and pepperoni. Would knock back 600 calories of cheese as a “snack” and then eat a normal dinner.5 -
You will have to pry the cheese from my cold dead hand. Bahhh ha haaaaa.

I have 11 grams of cheese everyday, but can't do more then that. I like to still eat my cravings, just in small amounts3

Well, that certainly is a lot of cheese.
By my estimate that would be around a min of 12 oz (or 3/4#) a day most of which is fat cals.
Very good idea to cut back. Congrats on being decisive in doing that.

I use a cheese planer to get very thin slices, a vegetable peeler for shaved cheese, and a grater for grating cheese. I use a lot less cheese this way and would never give it up. Moderation of all foods, especially the high calorie foods that I love.3

I know someone who complains about their fast weight gain daily then eats a block of cheese every day like it’s a sandwich. Try to tell them it could be the cheese and get shut down. Good for you for recognising it2

Yes grating is best because I notice that I can still have the occasional cheese on toast, 50g is quite generous for 2 slices of bread, so I can put some little cherry toms sliced on top, some thin slices of spring onion, some chilli flakes and some oregano and it feels substantial and thats about 450 cals. Not too bad1 -
Ha! I think I'll try this for breakfast!!!

I suggest the book The Cheese Trap if you’re serious about cutting cheese. I just finished it and it was 50% nonsense but 50% factual and eye opening.0

I'm a cheese eating freak too! Hubs and I went to a Mexican restaurant for our anniversary and he had globs of cheese pushed off to the side of his plate,I hate to admit that I took my fork and ate those beautiful, glorious globs😵3

Im reading the reviews for that book. 17 quid to tell me that its high in fat, blah blah blah.
Not only that but he seems to go on about the 'dairy industry' but people have been eating cheese from before there was a dairy industry so I dont really agree that they are villains as such. Cheese was invented (discovered) as a way to preserve milk.
Its also very tasty.3
