Isometric exercises

Should we do isometric workout to lose weight or would that make us gain weight which would be muscle?

Wow. There's a blast from my past. I remember seeing Charles Atlas cartoon ads in magazines in the 70's. Isometric was the fad that was going to change the world.
As long as you are in a calorie deficit (you burn more than you eat), you will lose weight. To gain muscle you have to eat more than your burn (and do real weight lifting).
Lifting weights while losing is a great idea as it will help preserve the muscle you already have. Cardio is also a good idea as it will make you healthier overall and helps burn a few extra calories (so your diet doesn't have to be as strict).
