I enjoy a good steak as much as the next guy or gal. And I just would like to know if there is anyone who has a steak recipe that is healthy, low calorie AND delicious. I’m willing to try anything new, so don’t hesitate. I’m trying to stay within a 1,500 calorie diet. Thanks for all who reply.

Grilled with salt, pepper and any seasoning you like. I use a bit of onion powder too.

It’s the portion size that will make or break your calorie bank. So.

With steamed asparagus on the side.

Run your asparagus under cold water as soon as they are cooked through to preserve that crisp green colour.

It helps if you use a leaner cut of steak, such as sirloin.

beef is high calorie in general, so you're going to have to balance with lower-cal meals the rest of the day. best cut of meat would be sirloin. agree with the recommendations to grill it with a few spices (I lean towards salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder) and have steamed veggies on the side. enjoy!

Stretch your steak by serving on a bed of salad. I would halve the olive oil in this tagliata di manzo recipe.

Another steak on a bed of salad dish is Cambodian beef lok lak

grilled marinated flank steak: score flanksteak both ways and rub with garlic cloves, leaving some of the garlic in the score. add it to a ziploc bag with one-two chopped white onion (big pieces are fine), cloves of one garlic head and low-sodium teriyaki sauce. marinate 24 hours and cook high on grill till outside is charred, set on indirect heat until inside is medium-rare. this is my fave!
