How to loose weight when limited with exercise

Needing tips on how to loose when exercise is limited. Recent rotator cuff surgery out of work 6 weeks, don’t want to just sit. Plus I need a knee replacement next year. Hereditary arthritis and I’m only 50.

To lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit. That's it.
Working out is great for many other reasons.
There are many threads on here with stories of people losing weight successfully with no excersize.
I can't paste a link but if you search for them, I'm sure they'll come up.
The stickies at the top of the forums are a great start.
