I've heard this a lot lately. How does it work? Does it speed up weight loss?

I recently heard about this and decided to give it a try during the 2 weeks. I started fasting 12 to 16 hours on my nights off from work. Very doubtful at first that this would work but I've stuck with it and battled my "stress-related food cravings." So far 8 lbs lost in 15 days. According to Mayo Clinic, fasting helps trigger more burning of fat stores. Try it, good luck! Wishing you the best,

t works for me in the sense that it helps me to be less obsessed with eating/food.
I do 16/8, so I only eat between noon and 8pm give or take. So basically no more snacking after dinner and I skip breakfast. This means my daily calories are spread out over a shorter time than normal, which I like, as it feels like I can eat more during lunch and dinner and surprisingly enough I don't miss breakfast.
As far as I'm concerned it's about calorie deficit and whatever time of day you consume these calories is probably irrelevant, but like I said, this plan helps me control my mind better.7 -
There's another thread opened above this one, with several comments that have some useful info...for me anyway2

I've spent most of the morning googling and watching you tube videos on IF. It's an interesting concept which I'm going to try out, I dont tend to eat late at night anyway and dont have breakfast till after 10 so dont think it will be a difficult adjustment for me.... watch this space1
