Hello all, the best way to success is to look forward and to keep moving. We all have our ways to success but no man or woman is an island and as it turns out I am becoming a island . Here is my journey so far, just so you get to know me a bit. Ten years ago I weighed 257 lbs on a light medium frame, using the principles of Ellington Dardens books and articles I went down to 167lbs. Years past and I fluctuated from 170 to 190 but mostly stayed around 180. Seeking better composition since I hold stomach fat too much I went to a calorie deficit for 3 months while canoeing 5 to 7 miles a day 3 to 5 days a week.
Stopped that in June and maybe whittled 10 lbs of fat off my belly. In place of canoeing I went to Stronglifts 5x5 and because of that I suspect instinctively my current weight of 155 still consists of a softball sized ball of fat stored right on my gut if I gather it all up. I.E. I'm still flabby. My weakness area genetically is muscle mass on my legs and calves,so far weight training is changing that.. slow and steady
My core and lower back has strength and structure but its hidden. My chest muscles and arms are fit. My lats are also, but it can use more improvements and it needs to be insulated less with fat.
To complete my long winded introduction I would like to motivate and be motivated by anyone who is in the same boat as me to get away from that isolated island of our health struggles ,please add me to your friends list and we can share our journey!
I would like to hear of your journey too!
