Well...not been a great few days. Yesterday wasn't bad except consuming too much sodium.
I don't know why I can't keep it together when I really start to make progress. I was quite excited and motivated last week - fairly confident I could meet my goal. It's going to take some time to drop the water weight, then see where I stand. Calorie-wise, I should still be looking at a little over .5lb loss this week.
I need to find a way to be consistent. Finding the trigger that makes me overeat would be helpful too.2 -

Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.
Day 03 – 08/16 ……196.0…… Oops. Pizza.
Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.
Day 07 – 08/20 ……195.4…… A nice well-earned overnight drop.
Day 08 – 08/21 ……196.7…… So happy I found the part 2 challenge. It is exciting to do the whole thing this time. I had an increase due to DQ yesterday. My own fault & today I’ve paid for it. Good luck everyone!
Day 09 – 08/22 ……196.2…… Better. I fought the cravings last night & won.
Day 10 – 08/23 ……194.4…… WooHoo! Worked hard for this yesterday eating just 1100 calories and burning over 3200. “ Let’s just keep it up Donna,” she says to self!
Day 11 – 08/24 ……196.6…… Fish fry dinner out last night. Stayed within calories but over on carbs. No worries. Today is remedy day. Flushing sodium!
Day 12 – 08/25 ……196.4 ……s..l..o..w.. progress. But it’s a journey, right?
Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.
Day 15 – 08/28 ……195.6…… Losing some of that binge & travel weight from Monday. More to go…..
Day 16 – 08/29 ……195.4…… BBQ last night stalled me a bit, but still moving slightly down on the scale.
Day 17 – 08/30 ……193.6…… Extra low calories & carbs yesterday on purpose to shake things up! Yes to the whoosh. Today, back to my normal healthy plan & hopefully another difference (even if small) on the scale. Progress is what counts!
Day 18 – 08/31 ……192.6…… Thrilled with this but traveling today so I must keep myself in control!

Day 19 – 09/01……192.6…… Staying level with the scale, even over a holiday weekend so far. Going to try to keep it strong!
Day 20 – 09/02 ……194.2…… I ate 885 Calories last night and gained 1.6 pounds. Wow!
Day 21 – 09/03 ……194.8…… I obviously enjoyed my Labor Day Holiday. However, body is acting weird on scale (see yesterday) so its time to shake things up!

Day 23 – 09/05 ……194.6……slightly better thanks to bathroom duty TMI. But I really need to work harder toward the 180’s. Going on a picnic later but will be mindful & will hike along river while there to offset the meal. I want the 180’s this month. I mean, I REALLY REALLY want it!
Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Music working its magic! I hope you'll put that little 3 minute song on and be inspired today. Join me!
Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!
Day 29 – 09/11 ……193.6…… I hope for a whoosh tomorrow before the travels!
Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.
Day 31 – 09/13 ……197.8…… After Travel weigh-in. Likely a lot of water retention. I’ll be working on this the next few days.
Day 32 – 09/14 ……197.4…… Still retaining traveling water from sodium filled meals & lack of movement!
Day 33 – 09/15 ……193.0…… Whoosh! There goes that water retention from the Chinese food. Now, to stay on track until the next travel day.
Day 34 – 09/16 ……191.0…… I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am. I really worked hard for this yesterday!
Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!
Day 38 – 09/20 ……193.2…… Dropping some of the water weight. More to go!
Day 39 – 09/21 ……193.0…… Every little bit counts! TMI would really help!
Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.
Day 41 – 09/23 ……193.0…… No change again.
Day 42 – 09/24 ……192.2…… That’s more like it!
Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!
Day 46 – 09/28 ……192.6…… Huge fluctuation up then back down due to water retention. Now its time to get back to work on the real fat!
Day 47 – 09/29 ……192.2…… Pleased with this today. Come on 180s!

Day 49 – 10/01 ……194.2…… This is what traveling looks like on me. Not a good way to start October!
Day 50 – 10/02 ……191.4…… I tackled the bloat & won the game! Now, back down to real fat loss!
Day 51 – 10/03 ……191.6…… A normal fluctuation. Ate on plan. Exercised as planned with a 3 mile walk. Under calorie. Good Carb Count. Calories burned 3093. Over 18,000 steps & nearly 8 miles walked yesterday. Progressing well.
Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.
Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!
Day 55 – 10/07 ……187.2…… Travel Day. I hope I don’t ruin all my progress. Thanks realgirl177 for the shout-out. I’ll take all the encouragement I can get!
Day 56 – 10/08 ……188.2…… After-Travel weigh-in. Chinese Food. Need I say more?
Day 57 – 10/09 ……189.2…… Very long Travel Day. Perfect diet & exercise yesterday. Not sure why the bump up but it too shall pass…..
Day 58 – 10/10 ……191.8…… After-Travel weigh-in. Back home in my “safe zone” & able to fit in more fitness today too! 4.6 lbs up from Monday morning before my first trip this week. Hopefully lots of water retention and not all fat!
Day 59 – 10/11 ……189.8…… Coming back down after the travel. Back home where my house isn’t booby-trapped! LOL

Day 64 – 10/16 ……190.1…… A perfect day then…..A late night sweet binge. I hope this number reflects the only damage, but I will have to watch the scale for a few days to see the total picture. So disappointed!
Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!
Day 77 – 10/29 ……188.8…… A bit over on carbs & calories yesterday. Today will be a good day. Travel tomorrow.
Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 80 – 11/01 ……188.0…… I lost some of the travel bloat thankfully! Good luck everyone as we finish up this challenge in November!
Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!
Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!

Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.

Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.
Day 07 – 08/20 ……195.4…… A nice well-earned overnight drop.
Day 08 – 08/21 ……196.7…… So happy I found the part 2 challenge. It is exciting to do the whole thing this time. I had an increase due to DQ yesterday. My own fault & today I’ve paid for it. Good luck everyone!

Day 10 – 08/23 ……194.4…… WooHoo! Worked hard for this yesterday eating just 1100 calories and burning over 3200. “ Let’s just keep it up Donna,” she says to self!
Day 11 – 08/24 ……196.6…… Fish fry dinner out last night. Stayed within calories but over on carbs. No worries. Today is remedy day. Flushing sodium!

Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.

Day 16 – 08/29 ……195.4…… BBQ last night stalled me a bit, but still moving slightly down on the scale.

Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!

Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.

Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!

Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.

Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!
Day 46 – 09/28 ……192.6…… Huge fluctuation up then back down due to water retention. Now its time to get back to work on the real fat!

Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.
Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!

Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!
Day 77 – 10/29 ……188.8…… A bit over on carbs & calories yesterday. Today will be a good day. Travel tomorrow.
Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!

Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.
Day 03 – 08/16 ……196.0…… Oops. Pizza.
Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.
Day 07 – 08/20 ……195.4…… A nice well-earned overnight drop.
Day 08 – 08/21 ……196.7…… So happy I found the part 2 challenge. It is exciting to do the whole thing this time. I had an increase due to DQ yesterday. My own fault & today I’ve paid for it. Good luck everyone!

Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.

Day 21 – 09/03 ……194.8…… I obviously enjoyed my Labor Day Holiday. However, body is acting weird on scale (see yesterday) so its time to shake things up!

Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Music working its magic! I hope you'll put that little 3 minute song on and be inspired today. Join me!
Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!
Day 29 – 09/11 ……193.6…… I hope for a whoosh tomorrow before the travels!
Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.
Day 31 – 09/13 ……197.8…… After Travel weigh-in. Likely a lot of water retention. I’ll be working on this the next few days.
Day 32 – 09/14 ……197.4…… Still retaining traveling water from sodium filled meals & lack of movement!
Day 33 – 09/15 ……193.0…… Whoosh! There goes that water retention from the Chinese food. Now, to stay on track until the next travel day.
Day 34 – 09/16 ……191.0…… I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am. I really worked hard for this yesterday!
Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!
Day 38 – 09/20 ……193.2…… Dropping some of the water weight. More to go!
Day 39 – 09/21 ……193.0…… Every little bit counts! TMI would really help!
Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.
Day 41 – 09/23 ……193.0…… No change again.
Day 42 – 09/24 ……192.2…… That’s more like it!
Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!
Day 46 – 09/28 ……192.6…… Huge fluctuation up then back down due to water retention. Now its time to get back to work on the real fat!

Day 51 – 10/03 ……191.6…… A normal fluctuation. Ate on plan. Exercised as planned with a 3 mile walk. Under calorie. Good Carb Count. Calories burned 3093. Over 18,000 steps & nearly 8 miles walked yesterday. Progressing well.
Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.
Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!

Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!
Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!
Day 87 – 11/08 ……186.8…… Nachos and fun sized candy combined with that lack of exercise I knew was coming. Not happy today but will be diligent.
Day 88 – 11/09 ……186.8…… A good day yesterday but no movement on the scale. I walked off an extra 617 calories and kept my calories & carbs within reason. Still bloated from nachos I ate on day 86. Today I will focus on water.
Day 89 – 11/10 ……186.6…… I followed plan & got in lots of extra calorie burning movement yesterday. I had hoped for a bigger drop on the scale, but trusting the process……. I drank 142oz of water on Friday, and my body actually released the water instead of hanging onto it. That doesn't always work - I can hang onto water weight for multiple days.
Made vegan broccoli cheese soup yesterday and ate way too much of it - it is one of the best things I've made. Sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, hot sauce and some tamari are what make it taste cheesy. However, I basically pickled myself - 6500 mg of sodium!!! Drank 88oz of water (my minimum is 80oz) and I'm a bit puffy, but nowhere near as bad as it could have been.1 -

My husband is back in town now so my diet is about to change as in sodium content so I will be curious to see how the scale adjusts. Onward!

Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!

Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.

Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!

Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.

Day 64 – 10/16 ……190.1…… A perfect day then…..A late night sweet binge. I hope this number reflects the only damage, but I will have to watch the scale for a few days to see the total picture. So disappointed!
Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!

Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.

Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!

Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.

Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.

Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!

Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!

Day 39 – 09/21 ……193.0…… Every little bit counts! TMI would really help!
Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.
Day 41 – 09/23 ……193.0…… No change again.

Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!

Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!

Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!

Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!
Day 77 – 10/29 ……188.8…… A bit over on carbs & calories yesterday. Today will be a good day. Travel tomorrow.
Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!
Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!

Day 48: 70.8 - I'm really chuffed about this, I had a lot of restaurants eats, but also a lot of exercise during these holidays. Absolutely glad that I didn't gain any weight without feeling restricted at all !

Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.
Day 03 – 08/16 ……196.0…… Oops. Pizza.
Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.
Day 07 – 08/20 ……195.4…… A nice well-earned overnight drop.
Day 08 – 08/21 ……196.7…… So happy I found the part 2 challenge. It is exciting to do the whole thing this time. I had an increase due to DQ yesterday. My own fault & today I’ve paid for it. Good luck everyone!
Day 09 – 08/22 ……196.2…… Better. I fought the cravings last night & won.
Day 10 – 08/23 ……194.4…… WooHoo! Worked hard for this yesterday eating just 1100 calories and burning over 3200. “ Let’s just keep it up Donna,” she says to self!
Day 11 – 08/24 ……196.6…… Fish fry dinner out last night. Stayed within calories but over on carbs. No worries. Today is remedy day. Flushing sodium!
Day 12 – 08/25 ……196.4 ……s..l..o..w.. progress. But it’s a journey, right?
Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.
Day 15 – 08/28 ……195.6…… Losing some of that binge & travel weight from Monday. More to go…..
Day 16 – 08/29 ……195.4…… BBQ last night stalled me a bit, but still moving slightly down on the scale.
Day 17 – 08/30 ……193.6…… Extra low calories & carbs yesterday on purpose to shake things up! Yes to the whoosh. Today, back to my normal healthy plan & hopefully another difference (even if small) on the scale. Progress is what counts!
Day 18 – 08/31 ……192.6…… Thrilled with this but traveling today so I must keep myself in control!

Day 19 – 09/01……192.6…… Staying level with the scale, even over a holiday weekend so far. Going to try to keep it strong!
Day 20 – 09/02 ……194.2…… I ate 885 Calories last night and gained 1.6 pounds. Wow!
Day 21 – 09/03 ……194.8…… I obviously enjoyed my Labor Day Holiday. However, body is acting weird on scale (see yesterday) so its time to shake things up!

Day 23 – 09/05 ……194.6……slightly better thanks to bathroom duty TMI. But I really need to work harder toward the 180’s. Going on a picnic later but will be mindful & will hike along river while there to offset the meal. I want the 180’s this month. I mean, I REALLY REALLY want it!
Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Music working its magic! I hope you'll put that little 3 minute song on and be inspired today. Join me!
Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!
Day 29 – 09/11 ……193.6…… I hope for a whoosh tomorrow before the travels!
Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.
Day 31 – 09/13 ……197.8…… After Travel weigh-in. Likely a lot of water retention. I’ll be working on this the next few days.
Day 32 – 09/14 ……197.4…… Still retaining traveling water from sodium filled meals & lack of movement!
Day 33 – 09/15 ……193.0…… Whoosh! There goes that water retention from the Chinese food. Now, to stay on track until the next travel day.
Day 34 – 09/16 ……191.0…… I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am. I really worked hard for this yesterday!
Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!
Day 38 – 09/20 ……193.2…… Dropping some of the water weight. More to go!
Day 39 – 09/21 ……193.0…… Every little bit counts! TMI would really help!
Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.
Day 41 – 09/23 ……193.0…… No change again.
Day 42 – 09/24 ……192.2…… That’s more like it!
Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!
Day 46 – 09/28 ……192.6…… Huge fluctuation up then back down due to water retention. Now its time to get back to work on the real fat!
Day 47 – 09/29 ……192.2…… Pleased with this today. Come on 180s!

Day 50 – 10/02 ……191.4…… I tackled the bloat & won the game! Now, back down to real fat loss!
Day 51 – 10/03 ……191.6…… A normal fluctuation. Ate on plan. Exercised as planned with a 3 mile walk. Under calorie. Good Carb Count. Calories burned 3093. Over 18,000 steps & nearly 8 miles walked yesterday. Progressing well.
Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.
Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!
Day 55 – 10/07 ……187.2…… Travel Day. I hope I don’t ruin all my progress. Thanks realgirl177 for the shout-out. I’ll take all the encouragement I can get!

Day 57 – 10/09 ……189.2…… Very long Travel Day. Perfect diet & exercise yesterday. Not sure why the bump up but it too shall pass…..
Day 58 – 10/10 ……191.8…… After-Travel weigh-in. Back home in my “safe zone” & able to fit in more fitness today too! 4.6 lbs up from Monday morning before my first trip this week. Hopefully lots of water retention and not all fat!

Day 64 – 10/16 ……190.1…… A perfect day then…..A late night sweet binge. I hope this number reflects the only damage, but I will have to watch the scale for a few days to see the total picture. So disappointed!
Day 65 – 10/17 ……189.0…… Okay. That’s better. The sweet binge apparently does not retain the water (weight) like a savory binge or sodium-high restaurant meal. Whew! Close call & working it back down now!
Day 66 – 10/18 ……188.2…… It’s going great. Fish fry tonight at the local restaurant with friends. Sodium packed! I will try hard to be mindful but I’m still working on control in restaurants. I’ll get there eventually.
Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!
Day 77 – 10/29 ……188.8…… A bit over on carbs & calories yesterday. Today will be a good day. Travel tomorrow.
Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 80 – 11/01 ……188.0…… I lost some of the travel bloat thankfully! Good luck everyone as we finish up this challenge in November!
Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!
Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!
Day 87 – 11/08 ……186.8…… Nachos and fun sized candy combined with that lack of exercise I knew was coming. Not happy today but will be diligent.
Day 88 – 11/09 ……186.8…… A good day yesterday but no movement on the scale. I walked off an extra 617 calories and kept my calories & carbs within reason. Still bloated from nachos I ate on day 86. Today I will focus on water.
Day 89 – 11/10 ……186.6…… I followed plan & got in lots of extra calorie burning movement yesterday. I had hoped for a bigger drop on the scale, but trusting the process……. Unfortunately, tomorrow is travel and the following day (Day 91) will likely see an increase on the scale. It’s a very important day for me tomorrow medically. Please pray for me!
Day 90 – 11/11 ……185.8…… Traveling for CT Scan. There will be Pizza involved in the travels.
Day 91 – 11/12 ……188.6…… After travel weigh-in. Now, the work begins again.
Day 92 – 11/13 ……188.6…… Some emotional eating last night, but great stats on the calorie burn & activity so it leveled it. News from the University is actually no news yet. Their call to me revealed that they are sending the CT’s for additional diagnostics with other specialists to see if a biopsy is in order. More waiting….

Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.
Day 03 – 08/16 ……196.0…… Oops. Pizza.
Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.

Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.

Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Music working its magic! I hope you'll put that little 3 minute song on and be inspired today. Join me!
Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!
Day 29 – 09/11 ……193.6…… I hope for a whoosh tomorrow before the travels!
Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.
Day 31 – 09/13 ……197.8…… After Travel weigh-in. Likely a lot of water retention. I’ll be working on this the next few days.
Day 32 – 09/14 ……197.4…… Still retaining traveling water from sodium filled meals & lack of movement!
Day 33 – 09/15 ……193.0…… Whoosh! There goes that water retention from the Chinese food. Now, to stay on track until the next travel day.
Day 34 – 09/16 ……191.0…… I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am. I really worked hard for this yesterday!
Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!
Day 38 – 09/20 ……193.2…… Dropping some of the water weight. More to go!
Day 39 – 09/21 ……193.0…… Every little bit counts! TMI would really help!
Day 40 – 09/22 ……193.0…… Holding steady even after a T2D glucose drop which forced me to eat a few more carbs than I’d planned. I stayed calm and did not quickly overeat (which is the instinct) and used the smarties candy method my doctor advised. It worked. I stayed on track with my diet plan without too much damage to my macros.
Day 41 – 09/23 ……193.0…… No change again.
Day 42 – 09/24 ……192.2…… That’s more like it!
Day 43 – 09/25 ……192.2…… Travel Day #1. This means less movement, restaurant food and less water, but I’ll really try to improve on all 3 today keeping my goals in mind as much as possible.
Day 44 – 09/26 ……196.6…… Travel Day #2 and after travel weigh-in. I hate the water retention after a restaurant meal! I promise I didn’t eat the 15,000 calories that are required for a true 4 ½ pound gain! Lack of movement in car doesn’t help either. I was up late just working to get in my 10,000 plus steps!
Day 45 – 09/27 ……198.0 …… After two days of travel. I’m very disappointed in myself. Today I am home, I have frozen pre-prepped meals & I will be on track. Weather is bad so I’m not sure about my activity yet, but food will be on point!
Day 46 – 09/28 ……192.6…… Huge fluctuation up then back down due to water retention. Now its time to get back to work on the real fat!

Day 52 – 10/04 ……191.4…… A good day overall. Dinner at neighbors forced me to make good judgments (home is safer) but I did pretty well.
Day 53 – 10/05 ……189.6…… I have not been in the 180’s in a very long time folks! Beyond thrilled & truly worked hard for it yesterday. It payed off.
Day 54 – 10/06 ……188.8…… My first short-term goal was to be 187.X by Halloween. So far I’m crushing it! So proud of myself. Now, just to avoid self-sabotage and keep up the good fight!

Day 67 – 10/19 ……188.0…… Went out to dinner last night locally. I tried to make good choices and control quantity. A small drop today so it really paid off to be extra mindful, which is something have a hard time doing in restaurants. Proud of myself this morning!
Day 68 – 10/20 ……189.0…… Drats. I didn’t realize at first that I’d gained an entire pound overnight! Working on this today!
Day 69 – 10/21 ……189.2…… Must be a normal fluctuation. I walked almost 11 miles yesterday, only ate 900 calories and burned over 3200. Fluid.
Day 70 – 10/22 ……192.8…… Emergency travel yesterday for a family problem. Wow, a few extra carbs & it goes up POUNDS! I’ll be working on this hard today.
Day 71 – 10/23 ……188.2…… Very low carb & cals yesterday to eliminate bloat. Extra exercise/work time to burn, burn, burn. Back to basics today. I hope to continue to make progress in a healthy way.
Day 72 – 10/24 ……188.4…… A normal fluctuation of muscle fluid. Extremely sore today from the past few days of yard work. Yesterday I walked over 25,000 steps, burned over 3100 calories. Walked over 10 miles. At almost age 60, my body is screaming “STOP”, but snow is in the near prediction and there’s still more to do before its arrival.
Day 73 – 10/25 ……187.2…… Finally the meal planning & extra exercise showed up on the scale. The work days are hard but the paydays are fantastic!
Day 74 – 10/26 ……186.6…… Avoided a binge last night. Whew, it was so close! I am proud of the strength I showed in powering through it. It was UNBELIEVABLEY tough!
Day 75 – 10/27 ……187.8…… A perfect day of diet & exercise. Then along came the “charity” goodies I bought for “my son” which will help my grandson's graduating class in a few years. I ate half and it rewarded me with a 1.2 pound gain! I’ll be drinking more water today & keeping calories and carbs in check. Next time I will donate the dollars & not take the goodies!
Day 76 – 10/28 ……187.8…… No change. Good night last night. Resisted more than the average bear!
Day 77 – 10/29 ……188.8…… A bit over on carbs & calories yesterday. Today will be a good day. Travel tomorrow.
Day 78 – 10/30 ……188.8…… Travel Day for Breast Cancer Remission re-check. Mammogram & Oncologist appointment at the University of Michigan. Long trip. Lots of sitting. Restaurant meals. I hate that I will end October after a massive travel day! However, I am not weighing in on Oct. 31st immediately following because of expected false fluid retention & bloat. I will pick it back up on the first, giving myself 24 hours to weight adjust.

Day 80 – 11/01 ……188.0…… I lost some of the travel bloat thankfully! Good luck everyone as we finish up this challenge in November!
Day 81 – 11/02 ……188.0…… It’s a miracle that my weight is the same. I ate more calories & especially carbs that I had planned. Eating my emotions for sure due to serious health issues. But I remain UNSTOPPABLE at this point. Today will be a good day, the kind that I deserve!
Day 82 – 11/03 ……185.6…… I actually did not eat enough yesterday, thus this drop. May float back up a bit but I know I am making progress. Healthier eating planned today with a few more calories & carbs than yesterday allowed.
Day 83 – 11/04 ……186.0…… Too much indulgence in sodium filled food. Cals & carbs were not too bad, just bad choices in what I poked in my face.
Day 84 – 11/05 ……186.0…… Holding steady but clearly not going to make my goal. I’m just happy at this point for ANY progress.
Day 85 – 11/06 ……186.0…… Lots of water shedding last night, but no change on the scale. I had a great day. Stuck to food plan, ate very healthy choices and I exercised to my normal capacity. Patience is definitely part of this process!
Day 86 – 11/07 ……186.0…… Stuck at this weight. I have a busy schedule today & will not be doing some of my normal walking. Maybe this will shake it up, one way or another!
Day 87 – 11/08 ……186.8…… Nachos and fun sized candy combined with that lack of exercise I knew was coming. Not happy today but will be diligent.
Day 88 – 11/09 ……186.8…… A good day yesterday but no movement on the scale. I walked off an extra 617 calories and kept my calories & carbs within reason. Still bloated from nachos I ate on day 86. Today I will focus on water.
Day 89 – 11/10 ……186.6…… I followed plan & got in lots of extra calorie burning movement yesterday. I had hoped for a bigger drop on the scale, but trusting the process……. Unfortunately, tomorrow is travel and the following day (Day 91) will likely see an increase on the scale. It’s a very important day for me tomorrow medically. Please pray for me!
Day 90 – 11/11 ……185.8…… Traveling for CT Scan. There will be Pizza involved in the travels.
Day 91 – 11/12 ……188.6…… After travel weigh-in. Now, the work begins again.
Day 92 – 11/13 ……188.6…… Some emotional eating last night, but great stats on the calorie burn & activity so it leveled it. News from the University is actually no news yet. Their call to me revealed that they are sending the CT’s for additional diagnostics with other specialists to see if a biopsy is in order. More waiting….
Day 93 – 11/14 ……188.8…… I’ve got to pull it together.
