Dying of thirst here

It isn't even 11am yet and I have already had several bottles of water and a cup of tea. I have also peed about a dozen times. Like, I had to leave yoga class twice to pee.

My blood sugar is a little high (110 fasted), but not enough that it should have this effect. I suspect the blood sugar is a symptom of whatever else is going on.

I also feel a headache coming on, even though I added Ultima electrolyte mix to one of the bottles of water.

Is there anything else I should be doing to support my body in this impromptu cleanse? Anything I should be concerned about?

Did you have something really salty the night before? Maybe have something to eat if you haven't yet.

Sounds like you're taking the right steps to alleviate the thirst.

That said, have you been getting proper nutrition the last few days?

Your body's trying to tell you something. If your symptoms don't get better, call your endocrinologist.

    Are you diabetic?

Yes, but as noted in the original post, the blood sugar is nearly normal, not consistent with these symptoms.

Have you been sweating? This is how I feel when my electrolytes are low.

Certainly if it persists, but it doesn't seem worth an ER visit for one whack day when I already have an appointment in a week and a half.

You don't need water if you stop eating sugar?

Talk to your doctor. Will they respond to an email? Or can you leave details with a receptionist? It could be significant, or it could be nothing, but I think your doctor should be the one to decide if it's urgent or not.

    Stop eating sugar

    OP is diabetic.

Highly unlikely he is unaware of sugar restrictions for diabetics. :s

Have you had a really hard sweaty workout in the last couple of days? I get really thirsty after I've sweat a lot and sometimes water just doesn't assuage it. Add electrolytes to your water for a while and see if that helps.

Evidently, my body decided it was time for a good flush. This morning started out with a normal level of thirst and three pounds lighter than yesterday morning, two pounds less than my recent low.

I have put it on the list to mention to my doctor next week, though.

As for cutting sugar, my own nearly keto diet aside, wouldn't a sudden reduction in carbs cause even more thirst/dehydration?
