Getting back on track

When I first started my journey I did great. I was eating good and working out and I lost 35 pounds. But for the past two months I have completely fallen off track. I have only worked out about 7 or 8 times total in the past month or two and have only lost 0.8 pounds in the past three weeks. I know this is my own fault but I don't even know where to start to get back on track from here. I still have around 30 pounds left to lose and I was wanting to reach my goal weight by the end of the year, but that doesn't seem reasonable anymore. Any advice would be welcomed, thanks.

Aside from the gym, what track to you follow? Do you count calories and keep a food diary? I was stuck for years at about the 2/3 point in my weight loss journey. Then I took up tracking. Calorie counting works.

If you are already counting calories, adjust the numbers. Keep thinking and experimenting until you get it. If something works for us for a while, and then doesn’t, the tendency is to double down on what we were doing. But I found that to lose 100 lbs, I had to reinvent my program about 4 times.

And since you ask for advice- ditch the calendar. Try to find a livable downward scale trend. If you find a working plan that you can live with long term, time becomes an ally. Read this board much and you’ll see how many people are wrecked by the time factor. Don’t be one of them.
