I sound like a crazy woman but

Ok so I've started exercising again which is great and most that know me know I have a terrible issue with sneakers. Either they give me ankle blisters or bruise my second toe or my feet just feel trapped in my sneaker. Yea that last one is probably all in my head but I get anxious sometimes when I have my sneakers on and just have the urge to pull them off. Crazy I know. Well now the tops of my feet feel weird. Last week it was just the top of my left foot and today my right foot decided to join in. I feel like I'm wearing shoes and socks when honestly I have bare feet right now. I sound like a freaking lunatic. Is it the sneakers? Are my feet just tired from exercising. I tried the 5x5 stronglifts last week and the week before with only 15lbs of weight so maybe I pulled something? Yes I know 15lbs isn't heavy for some but its heavy for me right now. But now today its both feet and I didn't do any stronglifts this week at all to see if maybe that's why my foot felt weird like maybe I have a pinched nerve. It's not numb and its not painful but it feels like I have socks and shoes on when I don't. Kind of like a confined feeling and my leg just feels "tired". I know I really should go to a real sneaker store and be fitted for sneakers cause I'm sure that will solve my blister and bruising problem. Someone save me from myself please!!!

I NEVER lift with shoes on. For upper body stuff it doesn't matter but squats and dead lifts are done barefoot. That's how you're supposed to do it. Idk if you can see it, but even in my profile pic I'm squatting 205 with no shoes on. I still wear socks, but wearing shoes throws off my balance, plus, you don't want your feet on a surface that compresses. When I used to lift with shoes on, I would wear shoes that are totally flat soled like chucks.

I like to use "toe" sneakers like these - http://www.rei.com/product/810969/vibram-fivefingers-kmd-sport-multisport-shoes-womens. You can get them on sale- mine were only $30.

Anyway I find them to be comfy and I don't need to find socks early in the morning. Bonus! I get blisters in them and in my other sneakers if I'm going side to side cardio (think hopping back and forth) vs. running. But I believe they weren't made for that kind of exercise.

If you're constantly getting blisters I'd buy different sneakers. My favorite all around activity sneaker (besides the toe shoes) are Asics.

205 Wow that's impressive. I really wanted to try the stronglifts and seeing I don't have a barbell yet I figured I would try it with 15lb free weights that I had. I had no idea you weren't supposed to lift with sneakers on. I guess you learn something new everyday. Thank you so much for that tip.

Toe sneakers won't work for me though I do have to say they are neat looking. I have duck/frog toes. On my left foot my 3&4 toes are webbed and on my right foot my 2&3 toes are webbed. I have some strange feet lol

I do have an appointment with my primary care doctor on the 26th of this month. I'm hoping this strange foot feeling is gone by then but if not I'm definitely bringing it up to her.
