New to Overnight Oat

    Bircher muesli (no pics sorry)
    Serves 2
    50g oats
    25g chopped nuts (I like almonds and hazelnuts)
    25g chopped seeds (I use sunflower, pumpkin and sesame)
    1 grated apple (peeled and cored)
    100g Greek yoghurt
    100ml water
    25g dried chopped fruit (raisins or apricots work well)
    Optional - protein powder
    Mix well and leave overnight 😀

    Gluten free instant oats 1 packet I then add 2 cups water
    1 tbsp your super foods chocolate powder
    1 scoop tone it up vanilla protein
    1 tbsp PB 1 chopped apple

    Mine is pretty basic

    40g steel cut oats
    1 tsp flax
    1/4 cup almond milk
    Berries robbed from my lunch allotment


    I add hot tea or even coffee to warm them up at work or I’ll eat them cold.

    So I guess mine aren’t technically overnight oats but I put about half a cup of quick oats and a cup of almond milk, throw in some cinnamon and frozen blueberries. I prefer my oats to not be soggy and my blueberries a little frozen so I just mix it up and put it in the fridge for about an hour. Pretty basic but still super good.

    I do mine by volume vs weight. It is one of the few things that I don't weigh exactly. I did the first time, when entering the recipe in MFP, and since I use the same ingredients and measuring cups, I feel like I'm within a few percentage points of the right calorie count. Many things I'll get strict about weighing, but not this Anyway....

    1/2 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup 2% Greek yogurt
    1 cup vanilla almond milk
    2 Tbsp chia seeds
    ~1/4 cup of whatever fruit, lately that's been blackberries or peaches
    a sprinkle of sugar, maybe 1/2 a tsp. I found that little touch of sweet made the whole thing more palatable to me

    It can end up pretty thick at times thanks to all the chia seeds, so I sometimes need to add a little extra almond milk when I actually go to eat it.

    I'd show a picture, but really it's kind of unappetizing looking, especially with all the chia seeds. And we don't even need to talk about the terrible glooping sound it makes when I'm stirring in the extra almond milk. But, I'm not much of a breakfast person, and I like this enough that I have been eating it almost daily for 3 weeks.

    Equal amounts of oats and water, adapt to the consistency you prefer ;)
