How do you prevent yourself from snacking when you are bored?

I mean, depends on who you're talking to.

Brush my teeth instead. I'm always less inclined to snack while I still taste toothpaste.

It may sound dumb to some, but I just don't think of snacking as an option. I'm strict about eating 3 meals per day and only snack if I am truly hungry (maybe once a month on a particularly active day).

The toothbrushing thing I do after dinner to avoid evening grazing. If I'm bored at work I will sometimes turn to sparkling water (not something I drink daily) or brew myself a cup of hot flavored tea.

I drink a glass if water. Wait a few moments to see if it was true hunger or just a little craving. If anything, I eat a banana or apple. Then distract my self with an activity.
