Hi y’all I was a member in 2014, I am a 62 year old woman that was just diagnosed with arthritis in my right foot. I know it’s from my weight. Can anyone give me tips on to get really motivated or when your motivation is low do you just go one foot in front of the other until your motivation picks up?

Yep. I think we have to fake it 'til we make it. I'm 62, just starting back because I realized I was not just not losing weight but actually gaining weight and would have to start buying bigger clothes if I didn't stop. NOOOO! Not going there. So good luck to you, I know how it is. The aches and pains are definitely worse with the extra weight. I mean, seriously, how long should we wait to start getting this right? I think now is the time!1

Welcome to the community!
If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.
I'm 61, lost 10 pounds between September to June on my own then another 20 on mfp from June til now. Still have 35-40 pounds to go. I have done this so far without exercise.
I woke up one day and was ready for this journey so joined mfp on that day. Weighing daily keeps me motivated and engaged in the process. Filling in the food diary a few days in advance keeps me disciplined.
Good luck with your journey!
