After 3 weeks I'm not making progress...

I'm 76 years old so I know that necessarily makes progress slower. I am keeping my carbs at 30 or below, calories at about 1200.
I drink a lot of water: at least 72 oz./day. I know I should just keep on keeping on, but a noticeable weight loss on the scales would sure be encouraging. No plans to give up because it's important to my health to stick with it.

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

Did you choose 1200 calories or is that what mfp allotted you? That number is the absolute minimum mfp allows for an obese woman.

What was your starting weight and are you saying you haven't lost anything since you started?

What do you mean by not making progress, have you lost any weight at all? What is your current height and weight?

How accurate is your logging? Are you using a food scale? Double checking that an entry has the correct calories before using it?

I get discouraged by scales, so I go on measurements and how my clothes are fitting. I have several inspirational outfits, I focus on trying to fit into smaller sizes, taking measurements every couple of weeks.

Not for everyone, but I also take progress pictures every couple of days.

I see more drastic changes in these things, and they keep me motivated and inspired!

Did it only take 3 weeks for you to reach where you are? I agree we all want to see that initial change and you may need to review what you are doing. Join a group with similar interests and goals, take some tips and keep going.
