Hi everyone, planning to lose 15kg in 5 month period, is this realistic , beginning 26/08/2019
Moving to live by myself , hoping this will keep me on track for nutrition . Has anyone have similar goals or has lost this weight? How long did it take you and what is your advice. Any tips even if you are in the process

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

    Why the 5 month deadline?

It took me 6 months to lose 10 pounds on my own and 2 1/2 months to lose the next 20 pounds on mfp.

That's 3kg per month. If you do radical changes it is possible, but not advisable. I'm not the best person to give advice though. I had 15kg to lose a year ago. Now I have 20kg.

5 months because I felt this is enough time to learn healthy habits and also feel it is doable and is a healthy time so that I keep it off rather then a crazy crash diet

Thank you :) that’s interesting , what changes did you make? Why was the 2 1/2 month one so successful? Xx

I went from not being in a calorie deficit to being in a calorie deficit. Because I wasn't logging into mfp until June. I had no idea what I was doing on my own. That's why I've been successful since starting mfp in June.

Now, I eat a pescatarian diet which is plant based with seafood, eggs and some dairy.

In my opinion, you should look at smaller, more attainable goals. Even though I still have 40 pounds to lose, my goal is always the next 5 pounds.

Because it's a lifestyle change, and not a diet, there's no deadline for reaching my ultimate goal. I've seen people crash and burn because they didn't hit their goal weight by a date they'd set.
