Banking calories while trying to lose weight?

Is it a good idea? Typically I eat around 1000 calories on weekdays because we tend to eat more on weekends when my dads home (hes a great cook lol) so I normally eat 1500 to sometimes even 2000 on the weekend.
Would it be batter for me to try to stay consistent with the calories I eat 7 days a week? Mfp has me at 1400 calorie allowence for a 1.5 pound loss a week. I still have around 50/60 pounds to lose

1000 calories on weekdays and 2000 on weekends still leaves you short of the 1400 per day mark - if you only eat 1000 on weekdays, you should be eating 4800 on the weekend to compensate.
There is nothing wrong with this format of eating in terms of weight loss, as long as you are actually eating enough. Lots of people prefer a weekly calorie goal instead of daily.1
