20 pounds in 10 weeks....

I have 20 lbs to get to my goal weight before my wedding in 10 weeks. Is this realistic? I wanna do it right and healthy i am down 15 already. I seem to do good during the week...won't lie weekends are hard but i am getting stricter with myself to try to get as close to this goal as possible. I was 185 i'm 170 right now and would like to be 150. Does this seem possible? or am i setting myself up to be disappointed.

    1) with your stats, it is too aggressive to consider healthy.

    2) weight loss is not linear and stress is one of the things that affect it. As such, you could do everything perfect and still not meet your goal.

    3) if your dress is fitted, your goal should be to maintain after the last fitting.

    4) focus on healthy habits to carry you with strength into the marriage, rather than focusing on the wedding day

I have to presume that you'd rather be healthy and happy on your wedding day than ill and gaunt.

Take the slow road and be well.

The most that would be realistic to lose in a healthy manner would be 10lbs., and that is if it happens in a linear fashion which it does not.

Betting that this thread hasn’t started out like you hoped. These folks are right. An aggressive march to lose 20lbs based on the calendar, even if successful, will likely come back to bite you.

Read up on calorie counting a bit, do what you reasonably can between now and when you pick a dress, maybe a lb per week. Get a really good fit and have a lot of fun.

Congratulations on your pending nuptials. Really, have fun. Lots of fun.

    No.
Concentrate on your wedding preparations. Make your wedding day a happy and healthy event. You have the whole rest of your life to lose weight. It’s way too aggressive to try losing 20 pounds. A few pounds lighter is much more realistic.
    Enjoy this special time.
