So I track my calories and protein is way up. 1464 calories per day. Plus working out. Climbed a mountain on Monday, gym with strength training plus 2.5 hours of dance rehearsals plus a walk yesterday...not including the gym etc previous days. I have got really sore muscles ....calves and back and shoulders but I've put 2lb on. Please tell me this is due to water retention because of DOMS.

I put on 3.5kg this week due to new workouts. I’m down 2kg already. Just go with it. Know it’s not fat. You’re doing fine.0

Yup, water gain due to muscle repair. Hang in there.0

Definitely water. Fat cannot be gained or lost by large increments in a 24 hour period without extraordinary measures taken to accomplish it.
