I am 57 years old, have been leading a pretty good nutrition/exercise regimen, needing to lose about 30 pounds, just not sure if I getting the right workouts, using the right macros, so much information, and different ideals, so confused, if anyone can enlighten me would be greatly appreciated

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

    Buy a food scale.

    Good luck with your journey!

Losing weight is all about a calorie deficit. Workouts, macros, eating schedules, etc are all just strategies to help you stay in a calorie deficit, and different ones work for different people.

Log accurately and consistently, learning as you go - what foods fill you up, which leave you hungry, which are worth the calories, which are hard for you to control. The best workout for you is the one that fits practically in your life, and that you enjoy enough that you'll keep doing it.

With 30 lbs to lose, you should be expecting to lose an average of 1 lb per week, until you get closer to goal when it will slow down to about 0.5lbs.

    Good luck!
