What would you eat off this menu if you had up to 1000 calories for the meal? (Been saving) Truthfully I am disappointed in myself that this decision is overwhelming me so. I have been doing so well and this first outing out my control with a less than diet friendly menu has me anxious. Guidance appreciated. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5a676a31fe54eff975e69120/t/5d49c4d2b653de0001385f4b/1565115606211/Parlay+Limited+Menu.jpg

The southwest chicken burger and side salad, no appetizer. I realize this may sound like the lowest calorie option, but for me, it’s what I like. My problem comes with the desert menu, which you didn’t show, but I’m sure there is one.
ETA—and I’d probably be the first one to be drooling over it while everyone was looking at the regular menu.

Well that looks like traditional pub food, so pick a few that you'd like and plug them into Myfitnesspal's food database.

Most of those are going to fall in the 1000-1500 range, so it's more a matter of what you like and what you feel like eating. You can always sub a small salad for fries or order the 6 wings instead of 12-20 and then have a salad on the side.

If you look at the calories beforehand it will help. :)

Just enjoy, don't stress over it, and definitely don't be the person at the table who talks about how "bad" it is. That will not end well for you!!

Good ideas, thank you. Unfortunately savory, salty food would be my vice (so a bar food menu is tough to navigate), but I think the chicken patty or wings ideas are good. ...and I promise to NOT be that girl at table talking calorie count (I know how annoying that can be.)

Also consider how many and what kind of drinks you plan to have.

Success. I had 1/2 of the sweet potato fries and a plain burger patty - no bun - with lettuce, tomato, onion, + condiment Cals ...and 2 Amstel Lights. Not the most exciting meal, but success. And didn’t take any of the nachos someone bought for table. I felt very powerful in my own decision making. Thank you all for helping me get calm & logical.
