@SuziQ113 - It will be fun for you to switch to the new scale weight only for October. I have two scales. One is almost exactly one pound lower. I got it because my old one was on the fritz, but it started working again. I use it sometimes to double check the old one. If it's one pound lower, the old one is correct. When the old one dies, I'll switch over and get a bonus loss. I like the old one because it has body composition measurements, and even though I don't really believe them, it's nice to track at least an estimate of body fat percentage.

@mtaratoot - I got a chuckle over the two scale method. Old one is already out of the house. I love the new one and am able to trust the weight it is giving me and records day over day loss/gain. Hope you had a great day!

Welcome to the last day of September!
I simply cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by. I love the fall in South Florida. Although we still get warm days (87 today) the mornings are cooler and there is an anticipation of colder weather. It's time to start vegetable and cooler annual plantings.

This month has proven that if I stick to my food and exercise plan the weight will come off even though I am a little long in the tooth - LOL. For me, as I age, the motivation has ebbed and I will certainly continue to remember the reasons why I am working towards a healthier lifestyle.

I hope you all have had a positive month. Look forward to seeing you online in another challenge. I am thinking about the "plank" challenge I ran across the other day. It will certainly help me work upon my core which is sorely needed.

Take care - be gentle with yourselves.

I've been pretty lapse when it comes to weighing in because I know I've struggled to keep on track on the weekends. Thankfully I was able to lose a total of 6.6lbs this month and looking forward to losing another 5 in October.

Lose 5+ in August - weigh in days Thursday

I will be here again, but I think I am taking a diet break for the next couple of weeks. I didn't really get anywhere in August because to be honest I lost my motivation. I have been on this journey for over a year now and have lost just over 35 pounds, but I am tired. Last month was a really rough month with some family issues that needed to be taken care of and now my birthday is coming up in a couple of days. So I am eating at maintenance until the 15th and will get back to my losing routine and finally get rid of these last couple of pounds. My ultimate goal is 135-138. I have been hovering between 142-145 the last month, so I am super close, but exhausted at the same time.

    Original starting weight - 178
September starting weight - 8/30 weigh in 143.6
    September goal - 141
    Ultimate goal - 135-138

1st - 143.6 on 8/30 before I left for FIL funeral in Texas

5th- 145.1 still working on restaurant and water weight from 4 days in Texas

12th - 145.6 I am officially 40 year old! Where has the time gone, lol. I have been able to maintain and live normally for about 5 weeks now. Even with all the stress of my FIL passing and all the craziness of my kids getting back into their new school years I have been able to do it. I have 2 in college (different schools), a senior in high-school, an 8th grader, and a 5th grader, lol, so when I say it's been crazy I mean it. I am really looking forward to getting under 140 and reaching my goal, so the diet break is over. Back at it today! Let's see what I can do the last half of the month.

19th - 143.7 I have been back on my plan for about a week. Stalled for a couple of days with TOM, but dropped back down to my pre-break weight today. Hopefully I can lose at least a pound by next week and start making some progress.

26th - 142.0 was lower yesterday, but am totally fine with this weight in. A couple more ounces and I will hit my goal for the month!

30th - 140.9 I am using my Saturday and Sunday weight as my ending weight for September. Today I was at 145.9 tailgating and alcohol. Not a real number so I am down 2.7 pounds, my trend is down over 2 pounds, and I met my goal and surpassed it by a couple of ounces. I am ready for the new decade in October.
