When is the best time to eat, before or after a workout?
I'm in a situation where I feel so hungry I do not want to run, but when I eat and run afterwards it's uncomfortable... what is the right thing to do?
Thanks.

I never eat before cardio. I think the general rule is 30 minutes to an hour before or after a workout0

anytime is good time to eat. Morning, afternoon, evening, before workout, after workout. 6 times a day, 1 time a day. As long as you get the calories in, anytime is fine as far as human body is concerned
Personal preference is a totally different thing though. If you prefer eating before workout, do it. If you want something after, do it. If you want to split for before and after, do it.
short answer: it doesn't matter.0 -

There is no "rule"0 -
I've left it 30-1hr and can still feel it sitting in my stomach, maybe I am eating the wrong types of foods0

This, there is no rule. I've devoured snacks right before walking into the gym.0 -
I wonder about this too. If I eat at all before exercise, I can't get into the "zone". I feel like my body's going "what are you doing?! I'm trying to digest here!". Ate a banana before hill climbing and it took waaaaay longer than usual. Sooo for me, I'd say two hours after eating...0

This.
I generally avoid eating for at least an hour before I work out, because otherwise I feel a bit sick. However, some people prefer eating before they exercise. Do whatever feels best to you.0 -
